Transfer Film
Transfer is a converting process performed on laminating machines. It involves using water-based glue to extract the metallic/holographic layer from the PET film and then transplant it onto the paperboard. After transfer, the PET film will be lifted, leaving behind a mirror-like metallic surface on the paperboard that is 100% plastic free. And, instead of going to the landfill, the lifted PET film can be collected and recycled for a second life cycle.
Ultimately, transfer film can be a sustainable alternative to lamination film, helping brands meet their ESG goals.
- Film Thickness: 10µ~15µ
- Color/Pattern: metallic silver, metallic gold, array of holographic patterns Features: excellent over-printability and machinability; scratch resistant, eco-friendly
- Application: Excellent performance on both wet lamination and dry lamination. Perfect for making environmentally friendly high-gloss metallic paperboard and holographic paperboard
